The final stages of construction are well underway as the Gozzo 48 Cabin prepares for its official world debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival this September.
Designed for Space, Comfort and Seakeeping
A contemporary take on the traditional Sorrentine gozzo, the 15m Gozzo 48 Cabin is being developed as a versatile cruiser with strong Mediterranean character and surprising volume for its size. The beam of the boat stretches to 4.70 meters, supporting wide-open exterior spaces and a bright, generous interior. Owners will be able to choose between two or three cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms and separate showers, offering overnight accommodation for up to six guests plus a single crew member.

The main saloon features a U-shaped sofa nearly 2.4m long and a galley spanning more than 2.8m. Modular furniture options help optimize space and function, giving the yacht weekender appeal while retaining enough autonomy for longer cruising.

The project brings together a team with longstanding ties to Apreamare’s heritage. Cataldo Aprea leads the concept and development, with exterior and interior design by Marco Casali of Too Design and naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design. The result is a modern motor yacht that carries forward Apreamare’s core design language - refined, practical, and steeped in coastal Italian style.
Hull and Powertrain Options for the Gozzo 48 Cabin
The Gozzo 48 Cabin is built in GRP with a deep-V hull and variable geometry for performance and comfort in varying conditions. Buyers will have a choice of powertrain: either Volvo Penta IPS or traditional shaft drive. With the right configuration, the planing hull can reach speeds in excess of 31 knots and deliver a range of up to 320 nautical miles.

As the shipyard continues final outfitting, anticipation is building for the Gozzo 48 Cabin’s premiere in Cannes, where it will showcase Apreamare’s evolving design language and craftsmanship in the highly competitive 50-foot cruiser segment.
Other Cannes 2025 World Debuts to Consider
According to YachtBuyer Market Watch - the largest yacht database in the world - several new models debuting at Cannes 2025 fall within the same size and lifestyle segment as the Gozzo 48 Cabin, making them strong considerations for buyers seeking stylish Mediterranean cruisers.
The Invictus TT550 brings Italian flair and strong outdoor focus in a larger 17m package. With bold, sculpted lines and reworked deck spaces, this planing-hull sportsboat caters to owners who want open-air living without compromising on comfort. Two or three cabins, modular furniture, and a generous beam make it a serious contender for coastal cruising and entertaining.

For those interested in multihulls, the Aquila 46 Yacht offers a different take on spacious cruising. At 14m with a 7m beam, this catamaran delivers striking interior volume, ideal for buyers looking for long-range capability and social flexibility. Its three-cabin layout and CE Category A certification mean it’s well suited to offshore adventures and onboard living alike.

Finally, the Bellini Astor 58 presents a sleek, walkaround layout with refined Italian detailing. At 18m, it integrates clean aesthetics with a focus on multifunctional space and onboard flow. The open-plan cockpit and shaded dining area give it strong lifestyle appeal for owners prioritizing design, comfort, and usability.

With its refined styling, thoughtful layout, and solid cruising credentials, the Gozzo 48 Cabin is shaping up to be one of the most compelling debuts in the 50-foot segment this year. Its arrival in Cannes will not only reinforce Apreamare’s reputation for Mediterranean elegance but also give buyers a fresh and versatile option in a tightly contested market.
