Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.8m beam and a 3.45m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,481 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2016.
Exterior Design
The 66.25m (217.4ft) Feadship Anshin carries a long, balanced profile shaped by Harrison Eidsgaard, with sharp hull creases and strong horizontal detailing used to visually reduce the yacht’s height and emphasise length. A red boot stripe and carefully positioned junction lines run the length of the hull, while the descending angle of the sundeck roof and dark mast detailing help pull the eye downward.
Her exterior layout spreads across multiple open-air levels with broad terraces, deep overhangs and wide side decks. Large steps descend from the main deck aft to an intermediate sunpad terrace before continuing to the swim platform and beach club. This split-level aft arrangement creates several outdoor seating zones without crowding the stern. The beach club itself opens directly onto the water and includes a sauna, massage room and hair salon, while large shell doors widen the usable platform space at anchor.
On the sundeck, the layout prioritises open space over dense furniture groupings. A forward jacuzzi sits ahead of loose lounge seating, while the aft area has room for large-scale dining, cocktail events or gym use. Shade comes from large removable awnings rather than fixed structures, keeping the deck visually open.
Anshin also features an owner’s terrace built into the port side bulwark. At the touch of a button, the platform extends outward with self-deploying safety rails and a dedicated awning, creating a private outdoor retreat directly connected to the owner’s suite.
The yacht’s exterior engineering includes large hull doors secured with pneumatic seals and stainless locking pins, a detail that reflects the precision of the build. Twin helipads add operational flexibility, with one positioned forward on the bow and another aft on the upper deck. Tender handling comes through dedicated garages with overhead crane systems, while the swim platform and beach club maintain clear water access despite the yacht’s scale.
Interior Design
Anshin’s interior was developed by Harrison Eidsgaard with a focus on relaxed luxury rather than formal grandiosity. The styling leans toward a refined New England residential feel, using tongue-and-groove detailing, soft fabrics and understated finishes instead of heavy ornamentation. Walnut joinery with dark staining sits alongside pale oak with a grey tint, while polished stainless inlays bring definition to the more formal spaces.
The centrepiece of the interior is a dramatic atrium lobby rising more than 8.5m (27.9ft) through the decks. A floating marble staircase appears suspended against a glass backdrop, finished with Crema Marfil marble and subtle silver fish inlays. The staircase creates a strong architectural core while still keeping the interior bright and open.
The formal dining room takes advantage of the yacht’s beam with a sideways orientation that avoids the narrow feel found in many long saloons. Floor-to-ceiling windows surround a dining table for 14 guests, while a bespoke chandelier made from alabaster and vellum panels hangs above. Walnut pocket doors can close the space off privately or open it directly into the atrium.
Elsewhere, the main saloon has a softer, more relaxed arrangement intended for family use. Chenille seating, silk carpets and lower-key furnishings create a residential atmosphere while still retaining the scale expected from a Feadship of this size. Large windows maintain a constant connection to the sea, and natural light plays a major role throughout the interior.
Additional guest amenities include a cinema, gym, spa areas and several informal lounges spread across the decks. The bridge deck owner’s lounge opens directly onto private exterior terraces, while the beach club keeps the same calm palette with direct sea access through opening hull sections.
Accommodation
Anshin accommodates up to 14 guests across seven cabins, while accommodation for up to 17 crew ensures full operational capability and guest service.
The owner’s suite occupies a full-beam position on the bridge deck and functions more like a private apartment than a standard cabin. Alongside the main sleeping area is a large sitting room and study space with direct access to the private slide-out balcony. The suite also includes separate his-and-hers bathrooms finished with contrasting marble details, plus discreet access through to the bridge.
Guest accommodation sits primarily on the main deck, where the layout can operate as either five or six guest cabins depending on configuration. The forward VIP arrangement can convert between a large full-beam suite with lounge space or two independent cabins, each with its own bathroom and entrance.
