First seen at boot Düsseldorf earlier this year, the new Saxdor boat takes the sharp, sporty look already familiar from the Finnish brand and scales it into a larger, more ambitious platform. The result is a full-beam wheelhouse boat built around flexibility, all-weather use, and strong day-boating appeal, while still offering genuine overnight capability.
A bigger stage for Saxdor in Palm Beach
The Palm Beach International Boat Show, scheduled for 25-29 March 2026 in West Palm Beach, Florida, will give US buyers their first chance to step aboard the new YachtBuyer reviewed model. The 460 GTC marks a key addition for Saxdor as it pushes the brand further into the premium outboard cruiser market.
The yacht drew strong attention during its world premiere at boot Düsseldorf 2026, where its smart packaging, full-glass wheelhouse, and fold-down terraces quickly made it one of the show’s standout arrivals. Palm Beach now gives the yard a chance to introduce that same formula to an American audience, where interest in fast, outboard-powered cruisers remains especially strong.
From dayboat DNA to serious cruiser territory
At 14.4m overall, the 460 GTC is a clear step up from Saxdor’s earlier models. It retains the brand’s low, aggressive profile, but the extra volume changes what the boat can do. This is no longer a simple dayboat with a cabin tucked beneath the deck. The 460 GTC has been developed as a full-beam wheelhouse cruiser with a much broader operating range.
The hull is vacuum-infused GRP with twin steps and a deep-V form, while draft is kept to just 0.73m without engines. That shallow figure should make close-in anchoring and beach approaches relatively straightforward, adding to the boat’s appeal as a coastal weekender. The wheelhouse, built almost entirely from glass, is another defining feature. Side doors slide open, the aft glass opens up, and the powered roof retracts, so the enclosed structure can shift from sheltered pilothouse to open entertaining space with very little effort.
That sense of openness is pushed further by fold-down terraces aft. Once deployed, they widen the deck footprint at the waterline and turn the cockpit into a broad sea-level platform. It is a feature that has become central to the Saxdor identity, but on the 460 GTC it feels more settled, more grown-up, and better integrated into the overall layout.
Flexible living spaces designed for weekends
Inside the motor yacht, the 460 GTC is built around a saloon that can adapt easily to changing conditions. With the glass aft section open, the connection between cockpit and wheelhouse feels unusually clean for a boat of this type. When shut, the same area remains bright and secure, helped by the extensive glazing and wide sightlines.
The main-deck arrangement includes a compact galley to port and an L-shaped dining area to starboard, with seating for five or six people in practical comfort. Several of the furniture elements are designed to shift function depending on whether the boat is underway or at anchor, which helps the space feel more useful rather than merely theatrical.
Below deck, the standard layout includes two cabins and a shared bathroom with a separate shower stall. In that form, the boat can accommodate four guests. Hull windows and pale finishes help keep the lower deck bright, while the forward cabin in particular benefits from decent headroom for a boat in this class. There is also an optional aft cabin, which increases sleeping capacity further and gives owners more flexibility depending on how they plan to use the boat.
The 460 GTC is offered exclusively with triple outboards, with Mercury power options starting from V8 300s and rising to V10 425s. With the largest package, top speed is expected to reach around 50 knots, while smaller engine options still promise strong performance for fast coastal cruising. Fuel capacity stands at 1,300 liters, which should give the boat solid range for long day trips and weekend use without constant refueling stops.
