Project Freedom has been developed with naval architecture and engineering by NAMES under the direction of Francesco Rogantin, while both the exterior and interior styling come from Too Design, led by Marco Casali. Built entirely in aluminum and classed RINA C + Hull Mach Y, the yacht draws inspiration from both traditional explorer yachts and large sportfishing vessels.
One Hull, Three Distinct Owner Experiences
A defining feature of Project Freedom is the availability of three distinct versions built around a shared hull, propulsion package, and technical platform:
Fisherman - The most open configuration of the explorer yacht, featuring a large aft deck capable of carrying a substantial tender and water toys without the need for a chase boat. Below, the customizable beach club can be configured with dive facilities, fishing storage, a gym, bar, or additional leisure spaces.
Fisherman Enclosed - Designed for offshore sportfishing, this version adds a fully enclosed upper-deck lounge with a day head and direct access to a crow's nest. The arrangement provides enhanced weather protection and improved visibility during extended passages and fishing trips.
Leisure - Focused on traditional superyacht living, this layout replaces the aft working deck with a centerline swimming pool and side-entry tender garage. The beach club is divided between wellness and watersports areas, while the sundeck is arranged for dining, lounging, and entertaining.
World-Cruising Ambitions
According to the designers, Project Freedom was conceived as a purpose-built world cruiser capable of supporting extended voyages while remaining adaptable to different owner lifestyles. The expedition yacht's profile features a layered superstructure, expansive aft deck areas, and a high bow intended to support offshore cruising in a range of conditions. Measuring 44 meters overall with an 8.8-meter beam and a full-load displacement of 290 tonnes, the design places a strong emphasis on capability alongside onboard comfort.
Active stabilization systems are specified for operation both underway and at anchor, while fuel capacity reaches 35,000 liters and freshwater storage totals 8,000 liters.
Configurable Living Spaces Onboard
Project Freedom offers a gross tonnage of 399GT, providing substantial living space within the 44-meter category. Guest accommodations are arranged across five staterooms, including an on-deck owner's suite, two VIP cabins, and two guest cabins. A six-cabin configuration is also available for owners seeking additional guest capacity.
Crew quarters accommodate a captain and three crew members. The main-deck salon is connected directly to a commercial-grade galley designed to support extended cruising programs, while the upper-deck skylounge incorporates a full bar, pantry, day head, and additional social areas.
Power comes from twin 2,400hp Caterpillar engines, giving the yacht a projected top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. At more economical speeds, Project Freedom is expected to achieve a range exceeding 4,000 nautical miles, positioning her for long-distance passages and extended time away from shore-based support.
Project Freedom is listed for sale on YachtBuyer and is currently asking €26,000,000.
