Spotted in the water for the first time in late May 2025, the Lürssen superyacht is the latest in a series of high-profile, yet highly secretive, projects from the renowned yard.
A Stealthy Build Story
Construction on Ace 21 began in early 2022 at the Stahlbau Nord yard in Bremerhaven. Her steel hull and aluminum superstructure took shape behind closed doors, with the project remaining tightly under wraps throughout. After months of structural work, she was transported in March 2023 on the 95-meter pontoon barge Bhv Innovation, towed down the Weser River to Lürssen’s Lemwerder facility for outfitting. By February 2025, the yacht made her first appearance outside the shed as she was shifted between halls for final construction phases. Launched in May 2025, she is now preparing for sea trials ahead of delivery later this year.
While Lürssen has not yet disclosed the design team behind Ace 21, initial imagery reveals a striking five-deck profile with clean lines, a plumb bow, and expansive deck spaces. The yacht’s gross tonnage is estimated at 2,500 GT, with a beam of 13.3 meters, and she is built to Lloyd’s Register standards. Power comes from a twin-diesel propulsion system, and although specific performance figures have not been shared, her substantial size and hull configuration suggest a focus on long-range cruising.
Key Outdoor Spaces on Ace 21
Early photos of Ace 21 show a large Jacuzzi on the aft deck, complemented by ample outdoor seating and dining areas designed for relaxation. Steps lead down to a broad swim platform, where an infinity pool serves as the visual centerpiece of the main deck onboard the motor yacht.
With teak decking, integrated sunpads, and exterior lounging areas spread across all five levels, Ace 21 is expected to deliver an outdoor lifestyle that reflects Lürssen’s expertise in building yachts for both luxury and practicality.
Interior Overview and Potential Layout
Details of the yacht’s interior layout and features remain tightly guarded, but based on her size and builder pedigree, Ace 21 is likely to house a spa, beach club, gym, and multiple guest lounges. The yacht’s deck plan hints at a versatile layout, potentially including a dedicated owner’s study, cinema, and wellness areas
A tender garage, exterior bar, and at-anchor stabilizers are also part of the known specification, rounding out her impressive feature list.
Lürssen’s 2025 Order Book: Major Launches on the Horizon
The launch of Ace 21 is just part of a significant year for Lürssen, which continues to deliver some of the world’s most remarkable superyachts. Among the highly anticipated projects is the 134m Deep Blue, a high-volume vessel set to join the YachtBuyer YB100 ranking of the world’s largest yachts by gross tonnage. Deep Blue will feature dual helipads, a vast infinity pool on the upper deck, and expansive outdoor areas designed for grand-scale entertaining.

Also expected in 2025 is the 107m expedition yacht Shackleton, previously known as Project Icecap. Designed by Salt Ship Design, Shackleton stands out for her rugged exterior, inverted X-Bow, and go-anywhere capabilities. Onboard, she will house a helipad, spa, dance floor, and accommodation for 20 guests.

Rounding out the lineup is the 114m Project Cosmos, a custom-built yacht featuring exterior and interior design by Marc Newson. Known for his work on Solaris, Newson brings a bold aesthetic to this hydrogen-powered vessel, which will showcase multiple observation decks, a distinctive cut-out aft deck pool, and advanced onboard technology, including fuel cell integration.

As Ace 21 prepares for her sea trials and final delivery, she joins a Lürssen fleet defined by ambition, scale, and cutting-edge design.
