At 36.6 meters (120 feet) and 270GT, the new flagship introduces a reworked layout and advanced propulsion system while expanding Sanlorenzo's vision for sustainable and livable yachting.
The SX120 is the latest evolution of the brand’s crossover line, originally launched with the Sanlorenzo SX88 in 2017. The range merges features of explorer yachts, flybridge yachts, and classic motor yachts, designed to maximize onboard volume and openness while retaining sharp, athletic lines.
Flagship Model Features Volvo Penta IPS and Expansive Beach Area
The SX120 is the first composite yacht in the world to integrate Volvo Penta’s new IPS Professional Platform. Powered by four 1,000hp engines, the compact system allows for a smaller engine room, increasing usable space onboard without sacrificing performance. A built-in Eco Mode automatically modulates output to reduce emissions, mechanical wear, and fuel consumption based on demand.

The SX120 represents the natural evolution of a range that has changed the way we conceive yachting and redefined life on board, introducing a new idea of space, liveability, and connection with the sea."

One of the standout features of the SX120 yacht is its 70-square-meter aft beach area, expanded through fold-down terraces that provide sea access on three sides. The space includes a retractable swimming pool that can be concealed via a lift-and-slide sundeck system during navigation. Inside the beach club, a lounge area connects directly to guest accommodation, with four cabins on the lower deck and a hammam spa. One guest cabin can convert to a secondary lounge when not in use.
Contemporary Interiors by Lissoni and Flexible Layout Across Four Decks
Interior design is by Piero Lissoni, who continues his long-running collaboration with Sanlorenzo. The main deck centers around a sculptural wooden staircase with steel detailing, surrounded by a bright, open saloon and a dining area that seats up to 14 guests. Forward, the full-beam master suite includes a private outdoor area accessible directly from the cabin.

The upper deck offers flexible use, configured either as a skylounge, media space, or second dining area. The flybridge on board the superyacht is conceived as an open-air sundeck with a modular seating arrangement, referred to as a Smart Island, allowing for customizable social or private use.

Throughout the motor yacht, the material palette includes natural woods, steel, and marble-effect finishes, with design elements such as parquet flooring, backlit headboards, and understated detailing contributing to a modern, residential atmosphere.
A New Chapter for the SX Line and Sanlorenzo’s Sustainability Strategy
The SX120 marks a significant milestone for Sanlorenzo as it pushes the crossover concept into a new scale bracket. It also reflects the shipyard’s increasing focus on sustainability, with energy-efficient propulsion, smart spatial planning, and low-impact design playing a central role.

The yacht was first revealed in January 2024 at boot Düsseldorf and follows the recent delivery of Sanlorenzo’s 40.7-meter Andiamo.
How the Sanlorenzo SX120 Expands the SX Line
The SX120 builds on the principles of Sanlorenzo’s SX range while scaling them up for a larger, more luxurious platform. Compared to the entry-level Sanlorenzo SX76 (23.75m), which emphasizes compact cruising and open-plan social decks, the SX120 delivers significantly more volume, privacy, and customization across its four decks. The SX76’s focus on coastal cruising and SUV-style adaptability remains intact in the larger model but is reinterpreted through wider interior zones and expanded outdoor lounges.

The Sanlorenzo SX88 (26.7m), known for its enclosed upper deck options and loft-like main salon, paved the way for a rethinking of space that the SX120 now extends further with larger structural openings and multi-use rooms. Where the SX88 provided variety through multiple layout configurations, the SX120 refines this concept with modularity at scale, including a convertible skylounge and full-beam owner's suite with private foredeck access.

Meanwhile, the Sanlorenzo SX100 (30.53m) introduced more deliberate interior-exterior connectivity, especially at the stern, a theme taken even further on the SX120 with its expansive beach area and retractable pool. Across the lineup, the SX models share fast displacement hulls, GRP construction, and versatile layouts, but the SX120 stands out as a flagship not just in size, but in ambition—pairing advanced propulsion with expanded livable space and design continuity that reinforces Sanlorenzo’s crossover philosophy.

The SX120 marks a new benchmark in Sanlorenzo’s crossover range, scaling up the core principles of flexibility, space, and sustainability seen in earlier models. According to YachtBuyer Market Watch - the world’s largest yacht database - Sanlorenzo now has 120 yachts in build or on order, reflecting strong demand for its evolving design approach.
The first hull of the SX120 is currently on the market with a price upon request.
