Formerly known as Project Venus (YN 20655), Solemates is one of nine yachts now delivered in the Heesen 55m Steel Yacht series. She is now en route to Gibraltar on her maiden voyage.
Refined Hull Form, Familiar Ownership
Solemates is the second Heesen yacht commissioned by the same owner, who was once again represented by Rupert Connor of Luxury Yacht Group. The yacht was sold in June 2024 and is the latest model built on Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Her steel hull has been shaped for optimal efficiency and performance across a range of speeds, suited to long-range cruising.

The delivery of Solemates to a valued repeat client is a moment of pride for everyone at Heesen."

Design Details with a Personal Focus
Exterior styling onboard the motor yacht is by Omega Architects, while the interior was created by Luca Dini Design & Architecture. Interior customisation was led by Silvia Margutti in collaboration with Heesen’s in-house team and the owner’s long-standing advisors. According to the shipyard, the design brief focused on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that would suit both family life and entertaining.

Color schemes throughout the yacht favor soft yet vibrant tones, including lime green, teal, and aqua blue. One of the standout features is the custom-built main staircase, framed by acrylic panels embedded with gold flakes and crystals. The attention to detail continues in the main atrium, which project manager Ralf Oortman describes as a focal point designed to impress.

The 82-square-meter owner's apartment offers generous space and privacy. Other amenities include an expansive sundeck with a Jacuzzi, a beach club complete with sauna and bar, and direct water access.

Layout changes across the yacht were shaped by the owner's personal preferences, resulting in a configuration that differs subtly but significantly from earlier models in the series.
An Evolution of the 55m Platform
While the changes to Solemates may appear incremental in isolation, they add up to a notably enhanced overall experience. “This latest Solemates marks an evolution of an already proven platform,” said Connor. “Most modifications from the previous model are minor, but the cumulative effect has resulted in a significantly better yacht.”

Heesen’s build process was praised for its flexibility and commitment to detail. “The construction process was, once again, a pleasure,” said Connor. “Their project team enthusiastically embraced our requests.”
Solemates will be formally presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025, where she is expected to feature prominently in Heesen’s display. She is also scheduled to appear at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in 2026.
Future Highlights from the 55m Steel Series
The delivery of Solemates adds to Heesen’s growing portfolio of 55m steel yachts, with several key projects already delivered or underway. Earlier in 2025, Heesen delivered Serena, marking the yard’s first handover of the year.
The pace has continued with the launch of Project Agnetha in March. Scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2025, the yacht for sale features exterior styling by Omega Architects, including a sharp wheelhouse overhang with the yard’s signature “shark tooth” detail and large expanses of tinted glass.

Interiors onboard the superyacht for sale are by Luca Dini Design & Architecture and aim for a welcoming, residential feel. Accommodation includes six staterooms for up to 12 guests, and amenities range from a wellness-focused beach club to a sundeck fitted with a Jacuzzi and bar.

Project Agentha is on the market with Heesen and is currently asking €56,900,000.
Also in the pipeline is Project Angelica, sold in December 2024 to an experienced owner and due for delivery in the second quarter of 2027. She will also feature exterior work by Omega Architects and interiors by Luca Dini. At 760 gross tons, Angelica will house seven guest suites for a total of 12 guests. Twin MTU engines will provide a top speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.

With Solemates now delivered and joining the fleet alongside earlier handovers like Serena, and with yachts such as Agnetha and Angelica progressing through the build schedule, Heesen is steadily expanding its 55-meter offering with a focus on efficiency, customization, and owner-driven design.
