Wally Debuts the wallywhy150 Yacht in Thailand with Asia-Specific Layout

The Wally wallywhy150 has officially made its Asia-Pacific debut in Phuket, Thailand, marking the first time the model has been presented in the region.

Positioned as the mid-sized model in the futuristic “spaceship” series by Wally, the 24-meter yacht stands out for its glass-heavy superstructure, distinctive silver hull, and expansive volumes tailored to an Asian cruising lifestyle.

Interior Layout Reconfigured for Asia-Pacific Market

This version of the wallywhy150 introduces a region-specific layout designed to suit Asian preferences. The forward section of the main deck, typically reserved for a master cabin, has been transformed into a 22-square-meter private dining suite. A central Lazy Susan dining table, finished in ash carbon, sits in front of large panoramic bow windows, offering formal dining with a view.

The reconfigured layout on board the yacht frees up space in the main salon, which is arranged over two half-levels. This space is optimized for socializing, with contemporary seating areas oriented toward the aft deck. Smoked glass doors slide fully into the bulkhead, creating a seamless transition between interior and exterior, or can be closed for climate-controlled comfort. A concealed flatscreen TV turns the salon into a media lounge.

Upper Deck Features Flexible Social Space

The upper deck layout has also been adapted for regional tastes. Instead of sunbeds typically found on Mediterranean models, this motor yacht features freestanding sofas and a coffee table, offering a relaxed indoor-outdoor social space.

Additional seating, a wet bar, barbecue area, and an eight-person dining table are all located under the yacht’s hardtop, with optional bimini extensions and windbreak panels available for added shelter.

Terrace-on-the-Sea Concept Enhances Outdoor Living

At the stern, Wally’s signature terrace-on-the-sea provides a customizable platform close to the water. Owners can furnish the space with loungers, sofas, or water toys, while a hydraulically operated central platform section allows easy sea access or acts as a launch zone for tenders and jet skis.

The superyacht offers accommodation for up to six guests across three en-suite cabins, including two large VIP doubles and one twin. There is additional space for a crew of four. The interior, created by Vallicelli Design Studio, features a palette of mink-toned wall panels, Etoile Symphony marble bathrooms, and American walnut flooring in the main salon, combining Italian elegance with practical storage and functionality.

Performance and Range on the wallywhy150

Built in high-tech composite materials, the wallywhy150 is powered by a Volvo Penta IPS1350 engine producing 1,000hp. The yacht can reach a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots, with a range of up to 370 nautical miles. At a more economical pace of 10 knots, the range extends to approximately 1,000 nautical miles, making it suitable for extended cruising throughout the region.

The Phuket debut highlights Wally’s strategic focus on the Asia-Pacific market, with this hull customized for a local owner and showcasing layout flexibility, social spaces, and design features that align with regional expectations. The model has already received multiple industry accolades and continues to draw attention for its technical design and liveability.

Inside the Full wallywhy Lineup

The wallywhy150 sits at the heart of a three-model Wally wallywhy series, flanked by the more compact wallywhy100 and the larger wallywhy200. All three yachts have been reviewed by YachtBuyer and share Wally’s bold design language, extensive glazing, and emphasis on volume. However, each model offers distinct features tailored to different ownership profiles and cruising needs.

At 21.46 meters, the Wally wallywhy100 is the entry-level model, aimed at owners seeking a versatile dayboat with overnight capacity. Despite its size, it offers three cabins for up to six guests, including a full-beam master suite aft. The main deck emphasizes indoor-outdoor living, with a hybrid social space that can be fully enclosed or opened to the elements. A standout feature is its 14-square-meter beach club, which expands by nearly 50% thanks to fold-down wings.

At the top of the range, the Wally wallywhy200 stretches to 27.05 meters and delivers the series' most expansive interior volume. Designed under the 24-meter load line to avoid additional regulation, it features a full-wide body layout with a 61-square-meter main saloon and a forward owner’s suite with 270-degree views through a 4.7-meter-high glazed bow.

Up to five cabins can accommodate 12 guests, supported by crew quarters for five. The dramatic upper deck, beach club with folding wings, and signature carbon-fiber staircase add to its visual and functional appeal.

The wallywhy150’s debut in Phuket highlights Wally’s regional focus and design adaptability. Positioned between the wallywhy100 and wallywhy200, it offers a balanced mix of volume, versatility, and style, tailored for Asian cruising preferences. According to YachtBuyer Market Watch & Intelligence, Wally currently has four yachts in its order book, including two wallywhy200 models and one wallywhy150.
