Commissioned by a returning Feadship client, Valor represents a bold leap forward in custom expedition design. Her sea trials are currently taking place off the Dutch coast, northeast of The Hague.
Built for Exploration and Efficiency
Developed with a Bureau Veritas Young Ice Class 2 rating, her reinforced steel hull and aluminum superstructure allow for navigation in remote, icy regions, including the Northwest Passage. A two-meter ice belt above and below the waterline reinforces her capability for Arctic cruising.

Spanning six decks with a beam of 13.4 meters and a draft of 3.7 meters, she boasts a gross tonnage of 2,117 GT. Her exterior lines are the work of Studio De Voogt’s Chris Bottoms, who followed a brief to create something “recognizable from outer space.” The result is a striking geometric form with a dreadnought-style bow, military-inspired bulwarks, and crisp, angular architecture.
Key features include a helideck, expansive walk-around decks, fold-down terraces at the beach club, and a large contra-flow infinity pool - one of the largest ever installed on a Feadship of this length.
Interior by Bannenberg & Rowell: Understated Craftsmanship
The interior of the yacht remains closely guarded, but Bannenberg & Rowell has revealed a focus on natural, tactile materials. A central staircase composed of 48,001 individual components anchors the layout, incorporating solid bronze and hand-finished stonework.

Bespoke furniture by names such as George Nakashima, Linley, Pollaro, and Silver Lining points to a strong artisanal approach, while details like billet titanium director’s chairs and a McIntosh-equipped vinyl room highlight the owner’s personalized vision. The design maintains architectural coherence throughout, from the formal dining area with retractable glass walls to the water-level wellness area and sundeck spa.
Hybrid Power and Zero-Emission Cruising
Underneath her expedition-ready exterior lies one of Feadship’s most advanced propulsion systems to date. Developed as part of the FAED (Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive) program, the hybrid system includes four variable-speed John Deere generators, a 5.34 MWh battery bank, and a DC grid that supports up to 48 hours of silent running. Solar panels supplement her renewable energy capacity.

Twin Schottel SRE 360 EcoPeller azimuthing thrusters, a rim-drive bow thruster, and Quantum stabilizers deliver precise, quiet cruising. She achieves a top speed of over 15 knots, with a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. Valor is also equipped for testing with HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) biofuel, reducing emissions by up to 90%.
A Major Presence at Monaco Yacht Show 2025
Although Valor won’t break into the YachtBuyer YB100 for gross tonnage, her engineering, design ambition, and ecological focus firmly place her among the most technically advanced Feadships in build.

YachtBuyer Market Watch, the world’s largest yacht database, lists Valor as one of four major Feadship deliveries set for 2025. The Dutch builder’s current order book includes several 100-meter-plus projects, such as the 101-meter Moonrise (4,000 GT) and the 100-meter Pi (previously called Feadship 824) (3,000 GT), along with high-profile custom yachts like the 71.76-meter Stella M and Valor. While she may not lead in size, Valor stands out as one of the most technically advanced new-generation Feadships.
Having now begun sea trials off the Dutch coast, Valor is expected to complete final testing in time for a full public debut at Monaco. She will likely be one of the most talked-about yachts at the 2025 show, drawing attention for her distinctive profile, autonomous range, and groundbreaking hybrid platform.
